A Bias Toward Action

March 31, 2008

Don’t just sit there, do something!

Success seems to be connection with action.
Successful people keep moving.
They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.
~Conrad Hilton, Hotel Executive

As always, I look forward to your comments…

“Don’t worry about what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and do that. Because what the world needs are people who have come alive.”

Give What You Have

March 17, 2008

Ever have the feeling that, “it’s not good enough,” or “some many people do it better,” or “who am I to be doing this?”

Here’s a thought from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:

“Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.”

Let me know what you think. I welcome your comments.

Henry James said,

“To live in the world of creation–to get into it and stay in it–to frequent it and haunt it–to think intensely and fruitfully–to woo combinations and inspirations into being by a depth and continuity of attention and meditation–this is the only thing.”

What do you think?

Create The Life Of Your Dreams

September 23, 2007

Are you an Artist who works as a bookkeeper, a Composer who works as a teacher, a Writer who owns a high-tech company? You are not your JOB, you are what you dream about, what you read about, what you love to do in your free time.

What did you dream of doing as a child, as a young adult, 10 years ago, 5 years ago, yesterday? Are you doing any of those things today?

I believe that hidden within you is an artist, a creator. Everyone has an innate desire to create something in their life, whether as a musician, writer, dancer, chef, builder, teacher, sculptor, or entrepreneur.

The purpose of this blog is to help you find out what you do want, who you really are, declare your identity, and walk the talk. When you integrate the artist into your life, whether full or part-time, it will have a positive effect on every area of your life and relationships.
